The National Biodiesel Board has established a National Biodiesel Accredition
Program called BQ-9000. The goals of this cooperative and voluntary program
are to guide producers and marketers in producing and marketing a biodiesel
fuel that meets the industry standard of ASTM 6751. BQ-9000 incorporates
ASTM 6751 requirements with a quality system that includes storage, sampling,
testing, blending, shipping, distribution and fuel management practices.
Accredition to BQ-9000 is awarded following a formal review and audit
of the applicant's management systems.
