Implementing Responsible Care - 2 Days
Member companies of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) are obligated to implement one of two Responsible Care Management Systems as a condition of continued membership in this trade organization. The Responsible Care Management System (RCMS®) is designed to provide a defined management system to enhance the performance of environmental, health, safety and security aspects throughout the manufacturing, distribution and product use phases. The RC14001® management system incorporates the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements thus allowing a company to qualify for both RCMS and ISO14001 certification. Both RCMS and RC14001 will be subject to certification audits by Responsible Care trained and qualified third-party auditors. The first certification deadline is the end of 2005 for corporate headquarters followed by selected audits of individual plant sites through the end of 2007.

This 2 day course was designed to assist companies in implementing either the RCMS or RC14001 in preparation for the certification audit. The trainers have chemical industry employment experience and are knowledgeable with the requirements of the Responsible Care Guiding Principles and ISO 9000 and 14001 management systems.
